Planning Great Orlando Vacations
Thinking about Orlando vacations? There's more to do than you may imagine, and it's certainly enough to fill all of your time. Experiencing everything that Orlando has to offer would probably take several trips. As such, it's good to know what you're getting into and what you plan to do while you're down there. Orlando vacations have so much going on that it can actually be somewhat overwhelming. If you're bringing along a family, it's especially important to do some planning before any Orlando vacations.
First of all, when you take into consideration the cost of plane tickets, a place to stay, and most likely a rental car, Orlando vacations are going to be rather expensive. Going down for one weekend is not going to give you the value you expect for your money. There is far too much to do for one weekend on Orlando vacations, especially if you have a family along with you. When planning Orlando vacations, you're probably going to want to plan on a stay of at least five days. This will give you time to experience everything and give you a better value for your money on Orlando vacations.
If you are indeed staying for more than five days, you may also want to consider some alternate lodgings during Orlando vacations. A hotel room is good for shorter stays, but if you stay long enough to really experience all that Orlando vacations have to offer, you may want to think about renting a vacation home. This is not as expensive as you might think it is. A hotel room nearby to Disney World or other major attractions is going to be just as expensive as a vacation home. A vacation home is going to have far more room than a hotel room, and will have a full kitchen and other amenities.
When you've made it to Orlando, the choices of what to do during Orlando vacations can be more than a little overwhelming. There is Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Sea World, the Isles of Adventure, Cypress Gardens, and Silver Springs to name some of the major attractions. Each of these places is a world unto itself that can easily take entire Orlando vacations to explore.
Within Disney World, there is the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Downtown Disney. The Magic Kingdom is going to have attractions centered around all the major Disney characters and is a perfect place to visit for the kids. Epcot is more focused on science and discovery, and can be great fun for kids and adults alike. Downtown Disney is a free area to visit in which you will find many restaurants and different shops during your Orlando vacations.
Universal Studios features rides geared toward a slightly older crowd, with the attractions centered around popular movies. At Universal you'll find popular rides such as Men in Black, Jaws, Kongfrontation, Twister, and Terminator 2. Some of the rides have restrictions on age and height, so this is something to keep in mind you've brought along your family on Orlando vacations.
Visit Busch Gardens if you are a big rollercoaster enthusiast. Busch Gardens features some of the biggest rides in the world, and is the place to be for those seeking the ultimate thrill. For the most extreme rollercoasters and rides, Busch Gardens is definitely the place to go.
A trip to Sea World will bring you up close and personal with marine life. Among the many attractions Sea World has to offer, the highlights include dolphin feeding and the stringray lagoon. Sea World also puts on a variety of very entertaining shows, and also offers some very immersive rides that are definitely worth checking out during Orlando vacations.
The Isles of Adventure is a new theme park designed by Steven Spielberg, and it features many rides themed on popular movie franchises such as the Hulk and Spiderman. Many rides have height and age restrictions, so again plan accordingly.
The Cypress Gardens and Silver Springs feature beautiful outdoor gardens and lakes, perfect for a day out to relax and picnic.
With a little planning, your trip to Orlando can be a great experience. Just be sure to give yourself time to really get into what Orlando has to offer.
